Was so sorry to hear about Noreen, I feel really bad that no one let us know so we could have been there.
She was a very nice lady and a good cousin even though we weren't close she will be missed.

Karen, it was so good to see you on Saturday. May knowing how many loving friends you have comfort you.
I remember being at your house for lunch during high school and your mom having fun with me over my trying to eat a whole bag of frozen brussels sprouts. She was kind and funny.

So sad to hear. What a wonderful woman, mom, grandma, and role model to all. She was one of the "rocks" of St. Paul. She and Ken had a huge impact on our youth. Will be remembered fondly until we meet again. I'm sure she is still watching and guiding.

Noreen B. Nichols, age 82 of Greenville, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013. She was born March 25, 1931 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Clair and Hazel (Christensen) Granzo. On February 16, 1952, she married Kenneth B. Nichols. Noreen was a life member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she actively served in many capacities, including in the Ladies Circle and as a Sunday School teacher and administrator. After retiring from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company, she enjoyed spending time traveling and cooking. She had a deep appreciation and love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Noreen is survived by her husband of more than 61 years, Ken; children, Timothy (Margaret) Nichols of Comstock, Linda (Randy) Keeler of Stanton, Norma Nichols of Greenville, and Karen Nichols of Newaygo; grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Keeler- Pecor, Amanda (Andy) Anaya, Katie (Carl) Olson, and Mike Nichols; five great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Doren) Rogers; sister-in-law, Micaela (Lonnie) Rorick; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Greenville, with Rev. Betsy Kamphuis officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
