Gilbert Dee Elliott age 64 of Perrinton, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2013 at home surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born April 23, 1949 the son of Harry and Mamie (Gillson) Elliot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Earl, and brother-in-law Donald Gunderson.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Carol and their daughter, Lauren. Also surviving are his children from a previous marriage, Matthew of Lansing, Michelle (Gary) Cox of Port Huron and Michael of Perrinton, also his sisters, Beth (Dale) Dennis and Ella (Earl) Hough and a sister-in-law, Doris Elliott. He had several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was a Christian and member of Carson City United Methodist Church. He was an amateur radio operator, of which he obtained the highest rating of General Operator and could take Morse code at 15 words per minute. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Cremation has taken place according to his wishes. Visitation will be at 11:00 AM at the Carson City United Methodist Church on Saturday September 21 with a memorial services beginning at 12:00 PM with Rev. Andrew Croel officiating. A lunch will be served at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.
