Bob G. Hamilton Bob G. Hamilton age 82 of Gowen passed away at home Friday September 20, 2013 under the care of his family and Heartland Hospice. He was born on November 10,1930 in St. James Arkansas the son of Mac Kinley and Ethel (Kelly) Hamilton.

He supported the community as an active member of the Lions Club, the Rotary Club, and t he Flat River Conservation Club. He sold the bakery in 1981 and went to work for the Kent Skills Center as an instructor until he retired. Bob was a true outdoorsman; he loved boating, water skiing, camping, hunting, fishing, and traipsing through the woods to find morels. He was quick to make friends with kids and dogs and spent much of his life on the floor playing with both. As the years went by, he truly enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Margos every morning.

He is survived by his five children and their families; Gail (Dan) White and daughters, Molly and Josie;

I have many fond memories of Bob. He was my first boss in the mid-sixties. At the Greenville Pastry Shop he taught me work values that made life lasting impressions. God bless you, Bob. .

I have only wonderful memories of spending time with Uncle Bob and the whole family at the bakery and the apartment above it, trips to the beach, summers with cousins in Hart, the house with the garage under it, (always amazed me as a little kid). Uncle Bob was always one of my favorite uncles, he always treated all of us kids so special. I am truly sorry for the heartache you are all enduring. Incredibly unbelievable that my dad, his brother, will also leave us soon. While we will miss them both beyond words, we are comforted to know they will be together again, laughing and joking and enjoying friends and family gone before them. I love you guys! Hugs to you all.

Wow, I am so deeply sorry to hear this news. Ironically, I just asked my uncle " Jim Wolschon" if he could get me a copy of all the 8mm film he had of me and my "friends" at the lake. I have footage of your mom and dad and my mom "Shirley" and dad "Jerry" with my Aunt Gail and Uncle Jim Wolschon water skiing. Also,in this, friend "Russ" and his girls. Some of my fondest memories are of the bakery with the best cherry turnovers in town!! on a stool with a bottle of chocolate milk, while I watched both of your parents and my mom as they worked their magic in the kitchen!! to create"works of art". Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers for you and your entire family. Memories are never forgotten!

I meet Bob back in the late 70's while dating my now husband Dan. Dan and I had our wedding cake baked and decorated by Bob. Bob has always been a close friend of the family. After the death of my father-in-law, Bob became known as Grandpa Bob to my grandchildren. Bob treated the Grimm grandchildren and great grandchildren has they were his own grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. Our condolences to the Bob's family.
