Sandy and family, We are so very sorry for your untimely loss. I met Pat 20 + years ago when she walked into my salon. She was more than a client, she was a dear friend. Some of us have met briefly, but I feel as though I know every one of you. Anyone who knew Pat knows how important her family was, (marathons, pharmaceuticals, Virginia tile co., coast guard, babies,Lauras construction, etc.)Although you were across state you were always in her heart. She'd always stress (unnecessarily) when she was expecting company, she wanted everything to be perfect, & I'm sure it was. She was a beautiful & classy lady, & will be missed by many.

Pat was the supreme hostess. She would drop everything and offer you a cold drink and delightful conversation no matter how busy she was. We have fond memories of Pat & Jim sitting at the end of their dock enjoying each other and their beautiful Hunter Lake. As we would paddle by and pull up to their dock, we knew it would be a long, fun, and thoughtful hour of sharing our lives with each other. She was the daffodil lady, the green thumb girl. Jim used to say they would go to the store for a few more bulbs and came home with hundreds more to plant each year. What a masterpiece they created together! She was a dear sweet neighbor, and her spirit remains here on Hunter Lake. We know how she was looking forward to that last camping trip and are glad she was able to fulfill that wish. She always talked about her sister, nieces and nephews with love and pride and was so grateful for all of you. We offer our condolences as you grieve the loss of this wonderful lady.

What a dear, sweet friend you were to so many people. What a great laughs we shared at our "girls lunches". I can hear your great laugh now. Your love for Jim was an example to all. Your visits to Foss and I while he was in the hospital were so appreciated, especially when I found out that you had gotten lost on your way home the first time, yet you came back again to comfort me. Your cup of love for others was always overflowing, you never seem to run out of it. Memories of you will remain while you fly to heaven to meet with Jesus and Jim.

Dear Sandy and family, It still doesn't seem real, but we know she could not live here any longer the body did not function to support her. God had her place ready and called her home.

There is just too much that you have given us to list it all. You were among the first neighbors to welcome us to the neighborhood, the first to give hugs and a bleeding heart plant when my brother passed. She said that her heart was bleeding too because of Jim passing. She just always knew what to say and hugs to give. We will miss you so much.

Oh, my, the years of love, laughs, tears, and joy we had together! This is such a sad day!! I always knew if I needed anything you would be right there to help in minutes! I have things with bees on them setting hither and yon because she couldn't resist to buy them! The memories of the middle of the night snacks, her emergency funds that never had enough fund in it for all of her emergencies, the dinners with that other guy that taught in Midland and eventually became my brother-in-law, the refinishing of furniture so we could furnish an apartment, the emergency calls from Sandy because Lee had another seizure, etc. etc. etc.! I probably could write memories for days! Pat was always a true friend! She even chose to love Bill even though he put an end to our living together! I want to thank God for the neighbors he put next door to us in our younger years! We will miss you mightily! You taught me a lot!!
