I really enjoyed the time I spent with Chris. He was such a hard worker, a great helper, and he had a great attiitude. I was always very impressed with his strength! I will always miss my tractor buddy. My prayers and condolences to all the family and friends.

Wow what a loss. Chris had so much going for him. His talents were many. I am honored to have some woodwork he gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago. He was just so nice to everyone. You will be in my thoughts daily. Many friend of Chris are there for you as he will always be with us.

I had Chris as a sixth grade student. I remember what a warm, kind and caring student he was. He always wanted to help out in the classroom and was always helping his fellow classmates as well. Such sad news. I will be adding Chris and his family to my prayers.

I didn't know Chris personally but every time we drove by while he was on the tractor my daughter would say "Hey, that's Chris!" I will miss hearing that excitement in her voice. My prayers are with the entire family as you face the difficulty of saying goodbye. Nothing can make the loss of a young life easier but time will help you heal. May all his love fill your hearts.

Chris will forever have a special place in my heart. I will never forget his wonderful, melodious, rich bass voice and the joy he took in singing. He always seemed to possess a wisdom beyond his years and that made it fun to talk with him and have real conversations. I will miss his beautiful smile and deep "Hello, Mrs. Chapman" whenever I would see him. I will treasure the fond memories I have of him from the three years he spent in my classroom and beyond.

Words can not express what the family of Chris is going though. He was an amazing young man and a bright future ahead of him. I may of known Chris since middle school but he was a great friend and even more talented singer. Just know my prayers are with you and your family and that heaven got a brand new angel to sing in the choir of angels and Chris wouldn't want us to be all upset we should cherish the time we had with Chris the good memorys and I know it hurts but he's looking down at us and he will always have a special place in our hearts. Christopher Clayton Copeland, age 19, died Monday, November 4, 2013. He was born January 4, 1994 in Greenville. Chris graduated from Greenville High School, where he sang in the Concert Choir, in 2012. He was an "outdoor kid", an avid outdoorsman who lived for deer hunting. He loved trains and tractors, and was a member of the Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor Club. He was also a talented woodworker. Chris enjoyed spending time with his very special niece and nephew. He will be deeply missed, especially by his mother, Michelle (Chad) Sigafoose of Sidney; father, Rick Copeland of Greenville; sister, Ashely (Anthony) Redner of Greenville; niece, Madalynn; nephew, Samuel; grandparents, Roger and Jackie Copeland of Greenville, Fran Doty of Oakley, and Carol Sigafoose of Greenville; great-grandfather, Norris Sipperley of Greenville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Clayton Doty and Robert Sigafoose. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Lynda Dyke officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Eureka Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to either The Marfan Foundation (22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050, www.marfan.org) or to the family.
