Just wanted to send out my heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all of you. Tyler was such a great kid and I always enjoyed when he's stop by to say hello even after I had him in class. Please give Travis an extra hug for me as well! Thinking of you all!

Tina, Rob and Travis, Tyler was a blessing to have in the classroom. He was such a good natured boy, and liked by all his friends. I still can remember his laugh and see his happy smile. We were honored a year ago or so when Tyler surprised us all, and came into the classrooms to visit, and was so happy to see him feeling good again after his surgery. We all were praying for him, and relieved when we saw how good he looked and felt. Please hug Travis for me! I remember him as a sweet little brother to Tyler. You all will be in our hearts as we pray for you daily.

Him and friends would come and sit outside the office on their lunch break and play their guitars. I always enjoyed my personal concerts! He was a great kid with an ever ready smile. Tyler Duane McGill, age 14, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at his home in Gowen. He was born February 1, 1999 in Grand Rapids, the son of Robert and Tina (Badder) McGill. Tyler was a freshman at Greenville High School, where he was a bright, thoughtful student whose interests included history and politics. He loved playing the guitar, and especially loved classic rock groups like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. He enjoyed video games and liked to cook and build lego and erector sets. He was a loving big brother who enjoyed picking on his younger brother and friend, Travis. He had a big heart, was a great friend, and will be deeply missed, especially by his parents, Robert and Tina McGill; brother, Travis McGill; grandmothers, Peggy White and Jacky McGill; grandfather, Robert Duane McGill, Sr.; aunts, Melissa Badder and Amanda Martin; cousins, Brandon Woodhams and Treyton Donley; adopted grandfather, Harry Baker; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Badder. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the funeral. Pastor Ken Harger will serve as officiant. Memorial contributions may be given to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
