 Carol Lee Kestner, age 65, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in Marion, OH. She was born December 23, 1947 in Harbor Beach, the daughter of Henry Ralph and Tressia Mae (Arntz) Detgen. Carol retired as a crew leader at Amway after 32 years of employment. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and will be deeply missed, especially by her daughter, Polly (Donald) Wright; step-son, Arthur (Maxine) Kestner; grandchildren, Celena, Breanna, Dacota, and Alexzander; step-grandchildren, Gentry Kestner and Cory (Sarah) Kestner; step-great-grandson, Benjamin Kestner; brothers and sisters, Barbara Patrick, Glenn Detgen, Alice Hall, and Jack (Janet) Detgen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Sylvester Detgen, Marion Detgen, Violet Cleaver, Henry Detgen, Wayne Detgen, Larry Detgen, and Marylou Detgen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the Greenville Lions Club Christmas Toy Project. |
