1927 - 2014
 Mrs. Iris L. Shute,age 87, of Greenville, passed away on June 6, 2014 at her residence at Laura's Loving Acres. She was born March 5, 1927 in Cataño, Puerto Rico to Ramón and Elisa Suárez (nee González y Gónzalez). She retired from Gibson's as a Buyer and after retirement she worked as a Foster Grandmother in Mrs. Nord's 1st Grade class at Walnut Hills Elementary for 5 years. She found much pleasure in working with the children and Mrs. Nord. Her many enjoyments have included reading, going to bingo, playing card games, and, Yahtzee. She is preceded in death by her son, Ronald Shute. She is survived by her daughters-in-law (of whom she considered her daughters) Sylvia Petersen and Lynn Shute; 3 grandchildren: Lisa (Shute) & Brad Willson of Parker, CO, Scott & Debbie Shute of Livonia, MI, and, Deana (Shute) & Cliff Rosen of Charlotte, NC; and, 5 great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Benjamin, Emily, Donna, and Hailey. She also had the privilege of being an honorary Grandmother in the family of Robert Petersen. She will be very much missed by her family, friends, and those who knew her. Contributions can be made to Laura's Loving Acres of 1550 E.Colby Rd.,Stanton, MI or to your local Library. A Celebration of Life Party will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 1pm at the home of Sylvia Petersen, 11276 W. Station Rd, Greenville.

I am sorry for your loss of your grandmother.I know what a grandmothers love can be to the many people in their lives. I had the two grandmothers that I will always remember with fond thoughts.
