1928 - 2014
 Howard N. (Pat) Spry age 85 of Greenville passed away on Saturday June 28,2014 at home under the care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. He was born July 15,1928 in Munith Michigan the son of Hiram A. and Myrtle E. (Dyer) Spry. Pat was a graduate of Stockbridge High School and served in the US Marine Corps. He was married on March 29 1950 to Zelda M. Fralick and was employed at Federal Mogul in Greenville for 37 years. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America, enjoyed square dancing, camping, hunting and fishing, involved with Civil War reenactment and spending 20 years at Rainbow Village in Zephyrhills Florida. He especially loved his family and attending his grandchildrens sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Zelda and their children; Pat (Patsy) Spry and Mike (Connie) Spry all of Greenville, Deb(Tom) Palethorpe of Lowell and Steve ( Gwen) Spry of Belding, grandchildren, Matt Spry, Ryan (Lisa) Spry, Andy Spry, Steve (Alicia) Dixon, Jessi Spry, Tyler Spry, Garret ( Jessie)Spry, Great Grandchildren, Alexandra, Spencer, Carter, Amelia, Oliver, Hailee and Elliott, his sisters-in-law, Mavis Spry of Tucson AZ, Vivian Spry of Jackson and brother-in-law Mel Stauffer of Dewitt and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Phil Spry and sister Norma Dixon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 1 PM at Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Stauffer officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Greenville Area Senior Center (715 S. Baldwin St Greenville, MI 48838).

I remember Mr. Spry coming out to our house and my dad worked on his cars. Mr. Spry was a good man and liked to laugh, always had a story! God Bless you Mrs. Spry during this sad time. Keep his memory alive by talking about him often!! Take Care!
