
Blanche Sarah Andersen, 93, of Greenville died early morning Thursday July 10, 2014 at Our Place Cares in Greenville with her family around her.
She was born in Douglass Township, Clifford Lake, Stanton, Mi the daughter of John F. and Lena A. (Martin) Rahn. In 1939 she graduated from Greenville High School and in 1942 she married Earl H. Andersen, who preceded her in death on December 2, 2000.
She worked at Electrolux for many years before retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and active in the church circle.
Blanche is survived by her children, Beth (Jim) Wiita of Battle Creek, Cherie (Steve) Foster of Greenville, Barry (Donna) Andersen of Holland: her grandchildren, James(Amy) Wiita of Anchorage, Alaska, Callie Ledbetter of Greenville, Amy (Bill) Shippy of Sylvan Lake, Ryan (Karen) Foster of Greenville,; six great grandsons, Alex, Caleb, Ryan, Owen, Tyler and Logen: one brother, Norman Rahn of Stanton, niece and nephews.
Her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Derwin Wood, a brother Walter Rahn, and sister-in-law, Blanche Rahn preceded her in death.
Visitation will be 9:30 AM Monday July 14,2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Greenville prior to the funeral services at St. Paul at 11 AM with Pastor Betsy Kampuis officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Our Place Cares of Greenville or Gentiva Hospice of Wyoming.
