
Robert Svella Wedel Johnson age 86 of Trufant, Michigan died peacefully at his home at the family centennial farm. He was born on the family farm on April 13,1928 the son of Waldema Wedel and Mildred Viola (Lindsley) Johnson. He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Trufant and served as church treasurer and a sunday school teacher and had been employed in purchasing for the former Gibson Refrigerator Co and R.J. Tower Corporation and been employed at Greenville Printing Co. He was a member of the Greenville Jaycees, Travelers Protective Association Post G, United Way of Montcalm County, Trufant Area Chamber of Commerce, formerly a supervisor of Maple Valley Township and Montcalm county Commission on Aging.
He is survived by his sisters; Josephine Sears of Trufant, Arlene Blaesing of Grand Rapids, Emma May Nastat of Trufant,Geraldine Smith of Alaska, his brother Walter (Janet) of Rockford and several nieces and nephews.
A private family burial has already taken place. At his request, no funeral or memorial will be held.
