1944 - 2014
 Mr. Gale Patton Phipps, age 70, died Monday morning, November 17, 2014 at his home in Greenville. He was born November 2, 1944, the son of Charles and Arlyle (Plumb) Phipps. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Amway. He loved his two dogs. More than anything, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Kitty; mother, Arlyle Phipps; son, James Patton Phipps; step-children, Ed (Jane) Wyatt, Barry Fitzgerald, Kevin Fitzgerald, David Jeanette, Tina (Jeremy) Peiffer, Chrissy Jeanette, and Davina Jeanette; many grandchildren; siblings, Delberta Windgate, Ethel Palmer, Alex Phipps, Craig Phipps, Geneva Dean, Valerie Green, and Cheryl Hellar; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Phipps; step-son, David Fitzgerald; and siblings, Gerald Phipps and Janice Graves. A memorial celebration will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Wednesday, November 19 at the Greenville Moose Lodge and Family Center (Loyal Order of the Moose #1939). Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Gale's honor are asked to consider the needs of the family. |
