1943 - 2015
 Richard Lee Heuring Sr. age 71 of Greenville passed away Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born in Harvey Illinois on March 19, 1943 the son of E.W. and Frances L. (Keller) Heuring. Richard moved to Greenville in 1993 when he retired from the Thrall Car Manufacturing Company in Chicago Heights IL. He was a NASCAR enthusiast enjoying racing but was most happy fishing. It could be pan fish but mostly liked his walleye fishing, whether in Michigan, Missouri or Canada. And better yet, fishing with his family, especially a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Frances, his sister Betty and his sister-in-law Sue Heuring.
He is survived by his two sons, Brian (Lisa) Heuring of Stanton, MI and Richard Jr. (LeAnn) Heuring of Watseka, Ill., grandchildren; Samantha, Jacob, Owen and Andrew Heuring, brothers, Charles Heuring of Illinois and Robert (Carol) Heuring of Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Burial will be next to his parents in West Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home

Jacob and Samantha, I am so very sorry about your grandpa's death. Through the stories of Jacob I can feel the closeness you had to him. Because I know you both I know your grandpa was so proud of you!

Dick was one the good ones! I remember him coming out to celebrate my 21st birthday along with my parents. He was sure he could teach me a thing or two. He will be missed. He has been a great friend and neighbor to my parents and I am sure will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Dick.
