1949 - 2015
Barbara Ann Lutz, age 65, fought so hard to stay with the grandkids that she loved so much: Aiden, Ethan, Kennedy, and Mason, but it was not meant to be. She passed away January 23, 2015 at the Meijer Heart Center surrounded by her loving family, and holding the hands of her two daughters. Barb was born May 4, 1949, the daughter of Jack and Dorothy (Orr) Burns. She grew up in Belding, Michigan, and was especially close to her grandparents, with whom her family shared a duplex. She graduated from Belding High School, and went to work at Gibsons in Greenville, Michigan. There she met her husband, Eldon, on the picket line. They married in 1976, and she moved to their farm in Spencer Township, quite a change for someone who grew up in town. She adjusted pretty well, and seven years later, they became dairy farmers. Barb worked very hard on the farm to help provide for her family. In addition to farming, Barb spent her time taking care of Eldon, Sharon, and Karen. She also spent her time knitting and crocheting beautiful afghans, hats, slippers, and scarves for family and friends. After her daughters got married and had children of their own, she was the glue that held their lives together. She loved to play, watch television, and read with her grandkids, who all adored her.
Barb leaves behind a family that loves her very much: her husband of 38 years, Eldon; her daughter and son-in-law Sharon Lutz-Krebill and Eric Krebill; her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Shawn Krebill; her grandchildren Aiden, Ethan, Kennedy, and Mason; her sister Beverly Demorest; her brother and sister-in-law Richard and Barbara Burns; her sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Justin Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. Her parents, Jack and Dorothy, were waiting in heaven to welcome her. The Lutz family would especially like to thank the exquisite doctors, nurses, and support staff at the Meijer Heart Center who cared for her with compassion, and did everything they could to keep her here with us. Her family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, Barbs family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to either the Meijer Heart Center or the Devos Childrens Hospital.

FIRST OF ALL WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE OF BARB. YOU CAN SEE HOW SHE LOOKS THAT THE LOVE SHINED BOTH INSIDE AND OUT. JUST LIKE HER MOM AND DAD.SHE HAD A HEART OF GOLD AS DOES ALL THE "BURNS'S". I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER. I LOVED HER LAUGHTER AND HER BEAUTIFUL DIMPLES AND HER CARING SPIRIT. SHE WAS A PROUD MOTHER AND THE BEST GRANDMOTHER EVER. HER MEMORIES WILL LIVE FOREVER. I KNOW SHE WOULD WANT ALL OF US TO MOVE FORWARD. SHE WAS NOT ONE ON ATTENTION. MY HEART GOES OUT THE FAMILY LEFT BEHIND. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE HERE IN SPIRIT. SHE IS NOW AT PEACE. GOD BLESS ALL THE FAMILY. LOVE, KATHY

Dear Family, I am so sad to hear of Barb's passing. She was such a nice person. I went to high school with Bev, but got to know Barb better at Frigidaire.

Eldon, Shawn and Karen, Eric and Sharon, we are so very sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. "As long as I can I will look at this world for both of us. As long as I can I will laugh with the birds, I will sing with the flowers, I will pray to the stars, for both of us." author unknown. You will forever keep her in your hearts and see and hear her in the faces and laughter of your children.
