1984 - 2015
Frederick Ryan Leitz, age 30, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 31, 2015 at his home in Sheridan. He was born July 24, 1984 in Greenville. Fred was an avid outdoorsman who liked to fish and hunt. He was a hard worker, a great cook, a big Detroit Lions fan, and a good friend who could make anybody laugh. Straight Street Addiction Recovery Group made a huge difference in his life, and his big heart and sense of humor impacted many others at Straight Street. Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his savior, and was baptized on December 28, 2014, and strived to bring others to Christ. He was a loving father to his precious daughter, Kenadie. Fred is survived by his daughter, Kenadie; parents, BobbiJo (Kelly) Train of Sheridan and Fred Leitz of Stanton; siblings, Carrie (Michael) Frame of Greenville, Joseph Leitz of Greenville, Jessi Fears of Greenville, Michael (Autumn) Train of Sheridan, and April Train of Sheridan; grandparents, Vonnie and Steve Bunting of Greenville, Ida Train of Sheridan, and Bob and Elaine Deal of Ohio; longtime girlfriend and Kenadie's mother, Morgan Blumberg; "spiritual" mom, Kim (Shayne) Becher; uncle, John Leitz; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2015 at The Well Church (116 West Main Street, Ionia), Dr. Ed Love officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Straight Street Addiction Recovery Group.

My heart hurts at the news of Fred's passing. It is hard on the loved ones who loved him dearly and miss him severely, but, oh what peace we have in knowing that Fred may be gone in this life, but He is very much alive in the heaven, and one day, we will meet again. My prayers are with you all.

Our prayers are with you Bobbijo. The loss of a child is the most difficult thing a parent can face. We lost our oldest son many years ago. If you need support you may call on us at anytime.
