
Francis Edwin Aylsworth age 83 of Greenville passed away Saturday March 14, 2015 at home under the care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice.
He was born in Greenville MI on Feb 15, 1932 the son of Ralph and Beatrice (Kuhn) Aylsworth. He served in the US Army in Korea and was a longtime employee of the former Northland (Aga Marvel) Refrigeration Company with 43 ½ years of service. He married Marjorie J. Burns in Lagrange IN on Oct 21, 1957.
Fran enjoyed people and his coffee time at McDonalds and Meijers. He was an accomplished artist, enjoyed music and his harmonica and songs of Johnnie Cash. He used the bike and walking trails in Greenville often and regularly, even taking the grandchildren on bike rides and he also could be found around town on his moped. He loved and was loved by his family who will miss him most.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie of Greenville, son Timothy Aylsworth of Greenville and daughter Francine (Steve) Pike of Cedar Springs, grandchildren; Charles (Darcy) Gates, Ben (Kathy) Gates, Lisa (Ryan) Borden, Andrew Aylsworth, Alex Aylsworth, Jeffrey (Lindsey) Pike, Aaron Pike, 12 great grandchildren, brother, Claude (Audrey) Aylsworth of Greenville, Sister Shirley (Don) Calkins of Greenville, sisters-in-law, Betty McDonald of Wyoming and Helen (Darwin) House of Grenville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd and Kenneth Aylsworth and sister Laura Harper.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 21, 2015 at 2 PM at Hurst Funeral Home with a visitation at 1 PM prior to the service with Military Honors performed by the American Legion Post # 101. Chaplain Dan Pflug will officiate his service with burial in the spring at Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or Turk Lake United Methodist Church.
