1920 - 2015
 Mr. Anthony A. Czarnopis, age 95 of Greenville, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Grand Rapids. He was born January 21, 1920 in Grand Rapids, the son of Lucas and Pauline Czarnopis. He was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the entirety of World War II. He retired from Federal Mogul after many years of employment. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Czarnopis; children, Richard (Mary) Czarnopis, Thomas (Jane) Czarnopis, Lu (Frank) Underhill, and Sue (David) Lake; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Deloris) Czarnopis; brother-in-law, Rudy Verbensky; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther Betty (Snyder) Czarnopis; and siblings, Reggie, Ed, and Frank Stanazak, Sadie Branchaud, Wanda Nielsen, and Louis Czarnopis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hurst Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael F. Cilibraise of St. Charles Catholic Church officiating. Graveside committal services will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or the American Heart Association.

Sorry to hear of Mr Czarnopis' passing. The family was so gracious to allow me to stay with them for a few months after my father died in 1964. His son was one of my best friends. Condolences to his family.
