Eugene F. Moore, 77, Cheshire, Ohio passed away Friday March 21, 2003 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. He was born April 29, 1925 in Gallia County son of the late William Curtis and Helen Woods Moore.

Eugene was a retired employee of the City of Gallipolis Water Works Department and a life long farmer. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, member and past Commander of VFW Post #4464, Gallipolis, member of American Legion Lafayette Post #27, Gallipolis, Cooties, 40&8, and Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107.

Eugene married Mary E. Roberts June 10, 1947 at Rodney, Ohio and she preceded him in death February 6, 2003. To this union were born four sons and three daughters:

David (Joyce) Moore, Cheshire, Steven (Loretta) Moore, Ed (Tammy) Moore, Howard Moore, Charlotte Elliott (Dennis) Bales, Pamela (Spencer) Carey all of Gallipolis and Kathryn Carson Bennett, Hope Mills, North Carolina.

15 Grandchildren, 11 Great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Clarence Moore, Paris, Tennessee, William Moore, Findley, Ohio and Beatrice Dunlap, Westerville, Ohio.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday March 25, 2003 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis. Burial will follow in the Reynolds Cemetery, Addison. Full Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by Gallia County Veterans Service Organizations. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday 6:00-8:00 P.M..
