Jerrad Oiler, 22, Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away at his residence Thursday, April 3, 2003. He attended River Valley High School and was employed by Nationwide Custom Pew Padding, Vinton. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Jerrad was born March 2, 1981, in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Carol Jean Dobbins Oiler, Gallipolis, Ohio, and William L. Oiler, Gallipolis, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-mother, Melonie Oiler, one sister and one brother: Norma Jean (Robert) Bradley, Gallipolis, Ohio; Scott (Linda) Oiler, Rio Grande, Ohio. Maternal grandparents: David and Nancy Dobbins, Bidwell, Ohio; Maternal great-grandparents, Mary Dobbins, Bidwell, Ohio and Edith Boston, Bidwell, Ohio; and four nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Ruth Oiler. Jerrad will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M., Saturday , in the Vinton Baptist Church, Vinton, with Rev. Marvin Sallee and Rev. Chester Hess officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, on Friday, 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6;00-8:00 P.M. The body will lie in state at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
