Rufus D. Stollings, 70, Vinton, Ohio, passed away at his residence Friday, April 11, 2003. He retired from the Hi State Beverage Company, Columbus, Ohio, following thirty-two years service. He was Korean War Veteran and a member of the D.A.V. 53, Cheshire and the Teamsters Local 413. He was also a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, Gallipolis.
Mr. Stollings was born November 13, 1932, at Stollings, WV, son of the late Rufus Walton Stollings and Clyde Dale Wheeler Stollings.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Tackett Stollings in December, 1982. Surviving this union is one daughter, Cathy (Larry) Sibley, Vinton, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife Hiltrud "Trudy" Brueckner Stollings, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Sharon (Adrian) Gibson, Vinton, Ohio.
In addition, he was preceded in death by a son, Keith Stollings and a sister, Mary Stollings Smith.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, in the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, Gallipoils, with Evangelists James E. Farley and Victor Jarrell officiating.
Interment will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, Sunday, 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Gallia County Veterans Services Organizations.
