VINTON-Patricia E. "Patty" Metheney, Vinton, passed away shortly before midnight, Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in Carroll.
She was born in Conesville (Coshocton County) and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Catheryn Julia Bailey Bown.
Patty was the devoted wife of Dick Metheney for twenty-nine years and he survives with one daughter, Brandy Metheney of Vinton.
She is also survived by two brothers, Donnie Bown of Grove City, and Bill Bown of Gainesboro, Tenn.; and two sisters, Kathy (Larry) Stifler of Gainesboro, Tenn., and Joyce Helmick, also of Gainesboro, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robin Bown; and three sisters, Linda Stifler, Nancy Bown and Jeanene Cantrell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2003, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton. Rev. Paul Ring will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park.
Friends may visit on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
