Ruth Kerr, 76, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away at her residence Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003. She was born Aug. 20, 1927, in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Aubra and Violet Smith.
Ruth married Devery Kerr, March 31, 1947, in Greenup, Ky., and he preceeded her in death, Nov. 6, 1999. To this union were born two sons, Bruce (Katie) Kerr of Gallipolis and Gary (Angie) Kerr of Marietta; three granchildren, Jason, Garrett and Lindsey Kerr. Also surviving are two brothers and five sisters, Carl (Helen) Smith of Deltone, Fla., Keith (Ernestine) Smith of Bidwell, Bessie Kirby of Crown City, Glenna (Garland) Boston of Jackson, Ohio, Shirley (Jim) Rodgers of Titusville, Fla., Lynda (J.D.) Smith of Bidwell, and Carol (Roger) Bellville of Bidwell. Also surving is a brother-in-law, Loren (Karen) Kerr of Florida.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Satuday, Oct. 4, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-7 p.m. Friday and Saturday one hour prior to the serivce.
Pallbearers will be Garland Boston, Jim Rodgers, J. D. Smith, Roger Bellville, Darin Smith, David Bellville and Jeremy Bellville. Honorary pallbearers are Chip Kirby and Lee Boston.
