Catherine Fish, 84, Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 19, 2004,
at Arbors of Gallipolis. She was born May 10, 1919, in Gallipolis, daughter of the late James Faulkner and Jane Richards Faulkner.
Mrs. Fish was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School, Class of 1937. Soon after graduation, she was employed by Holzer Hospital where she served as a medical secretary for twenty years. She then accepted the position of Foreign Service Officer for the Federal Government’s Department of State, where she remained another twenty years before her retirement in the early 1980's.
She was a member of the St Peters Episcopal Church, Gallipolis, and had attended the Washington Cathedral, Washington, D.C. and a member of the Federal Employees Retirement Association.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law:
Penelope “Penny” and Robert Moore, Gallipolis, Ohio.
One granddaughter and her husband:
Christine and Eric Sass, Niceville, Florida
Three great-grandchildren:
Brittany Wilcoxon, Niceville, Florida
Morgan and Skylar Sass, Niceville, Florida
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Richard and Billy Faulkner and
a sister, Betty J. Hoy
Grave Side Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2004, in Pine Street Cemetery, Gallipolis, with Pastor Becky Michelfelder officiating.
