
Lucille M. Palmer, 83, Cheshire, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 3, 2006, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
Born March 5, 1923, in Gallia County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Playford and Sylvia Mink Denney.
Lucille was a member of the Cheshire United Methodist Church and attended the Cheshire Baptist Church. She helped run her family’s grocery business in Cheshire, prior to becoming a homemaker and wonderful mother
Lucille married her husband, Wayne D. Palmer, on September 3, 1943, in Bidwell, and he preceded her on December 1, 2002. She was also preceded by one sister, Betty Green Davis.
Surviving are: three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Marie) Palmer of Cheshire, Danny (Shirley) Palmer of Cheshire, and David (Connie) Palmer of Cheshire; one daughter, Kay (Marc) Hardway of Cheshire; seven grandchildren, Christi (Kevin) Deemer, Lora (Stan) Jones, Michelle (Keith) Darst, Amy (Raymond) Robie, Christopher Palmer, Brittany Hardway and Dayton Hardway; eight great-grandchildren, Brycton and Brayden Robie; Dylan and Caitlin Darst; Ethan, Garrett and Wesley Jones, Hannah Deemer; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 7, 2006 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, with the Rev. Paul Stinson and Rev. Steve Little officiating. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire.
