1945 - 2007

Lowell L. Niemeyer "Flea-Bag", 61, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his residence in Vinton. He was born September 28, 1945, in Mason, WV, son of Charles and Mabel Niemeyer. He was truck driver for many years, a member of VFW and American Legion Post #476, Wilkesville, and a Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his wife Maria Regina Niemeyer and five children: Melody (Steve) Hickey, Baxter, TN; Amy (Tim) Arthurs, Ahtonm IG; Angele (David) Wellman, Gallipolis, OH; Margaret Gardener, Hawaii; six grandchildren and special granddaughter Miela Regina Wellman.

Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 26, 2007 at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St., Vinton.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 P.M., Sunday, March 25, 2007. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Lowell Niemeyer Memorial Fund, PO Box 148, Vinton, Ohio 45686.

Lowell was a great friend of many years. He was always a bright spot in my life and the source of many a moment of laughter. I will miss him sorely and always remember the times that we shared together. My family and I send our deepest sympathy. We will remember you daily in our prayers.
