Myrtle Mae Lance, 89, a former resident of Gallia County, passed away at the Odyssey Harbor House, Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, March 23, 2007. She was born July 8, 1917, in Ivydale, WV, daughter of the late John Steven Moss and Amanda Coen Moss. She married Herbie Lance on Nov. 20, 1939, and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1992. Also preceding her is a brother Glenn Moss.
Surviving are three sons and a daughter:

Ray Lance, Las Vegas, NV
John (Beverly) Lance, Jackson, OH
Mary Young, Grove City, OH
Eight grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren and a brother, George Moss of Boston, Mass.; two sisters; Katie McClain and Donna Koulter of New Philedelphia, OH.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM., Friday, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Rev. Robert Hersman officiating. Burial will follow in the Vinton Memorial Park.
