John Everett Denney, 84, Bidwell, Ohio, Passed away at Scenic Hills Nursing Home Friday, April 13, 2007. He was born June 30, 1922 in Springfield Twp., Gallia County, OH., son of the late Samuel Wiltham Denney and Mary Williams Denney. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers, Local 18.

John married Pearl Clagg on September 2, 1942, and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2001. Also preceding him in death was his daughter, Barbara Jean Denney

Corwin, 1962; four brothers and five sisters: Paul, Wendell, Oscar and Thomas Denney; Marie McCulty, Margret Edwards, Alice Myers, Maybelle Kurlick and Kate Knotts.

Surviving are two sons:

Chuck (Fran) Denney, Gallipolis, Ohio

John M. (Verna Kay) Denney, Bidwell, Ohio

Four grandchildren:

Heath (Misty) Denney, Jared Denney, and Marie Denney, Bidwell, OH.,

Brandon (Meghan) Denney, Coshocton, OH.

He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church and attended the Harris Baptist Church at Harrisburg where Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, with Rev. Ronnie Lemley officiating. Burial will follow in the Denney Cemetery.

Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel, 208 Main St., Vinton, OH on Saturday, 5:00 - 8:00 P.M.

My dear dweet Johnnie and Chuckie and families, I can never forget Mom hugging Uncle John and reminding him that he was her "baby" brother. She loved him so. You two had such a sweet pair of parents. I think we were both blessed in that department. Sorry we can't be there for you-all. We're still in Fla. You ARE and WILL BE in our thoughts and prayers. I miss not being there for you. Your Mom and Dad were always there for my Mom and Dad. Bunches of hugs and LOVE are being sent your way. See you in May. Love you-all very much, Sandra Kay and Noel ...We love you-all very much!
