Audrey V. Altizer, 90, Gallipolis, passed away in Holzer Medical Center early Saturday morning, July 14, 2007. She was a loving mother and a dedicated, devoted Christian for many, many years.
Audrey was born September 17, 1916, near Mercerville, Ohio, daughter of the late John Haffelt and Rosa Elbin Haffelt. She married Verne Altizer in June, 1937, in Greenup, KY and he preceded her in death in October, 1970. In addition, she was preceded in death by her son, John Altizer, 1997; grandson, John Altizer II, 2007; two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna Altizer, Gallipolis; one sister, Opal Altizer, Gallipolis; and a special friend, Harry W. White.
Committal Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, in the Chapel of Hope, Ohio Valley Memory Gardcens, Gallipolis, with Rev. Alfred Holley officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace.
