Mary L. Smith, 77, Porter Community, passed away in Holzer Senior Care, Bidwell, on Saturday, August 25, 2007.
She was born June 9, 1930, in Harrisburg, daughter of the late John Roy Smith and Lola J. McDaniel Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Allen Smith on April 15, 1984.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and John Robert Smith.
Suviving are two daughters, Sandy (Marc) Smith-Ellcessor, Williamsport, Ohio. and Cindy (Fiancé, Fredrick Carter) Smith-Sanders, Kimper, Ky.; two grandchildren, Stacia Sanders, Louisville, Ky. and Barry Sanders Jr., Morehead, Ky.; a sister, Marjorie Payne, Bidwell and many nieces and nephews.
Mary had attended the New Hope Baptist Church, Harrisburg, and the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell.
The family is honoring her request for a Grave Side Service, held at the convenience of the famiy in the Vinton Memorial Park, with her nephew, Rev. John Thomas Smith officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton.
