Nora Lee Thomas, 95, Newark, Ohio, and formerly Salem Center, Ohio, passed away Saturday morning in the Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.
She and her husband, Lester Thomas, owned and operated the Salem Center General Store from 1960 to 1980.
She was a member of the Salem Center United Methodist Church.
Nora was born July 10, 1912, in Middleport, Ohio, daughter of the late Beecher and Laura Arthur Kessinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Thomas, February 12, 1989; a daughter; two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Betty Thomas, Newark, Ohio; two grandsons, Larry E. (Becky) Thomas, Newark, Ohio, Steven R. (Donna) Thomas, Groveport, Ohio; six grandchildren, Larry Ray, Tara, and Corey Thomas, Newark, Ohio, Joshua Thomas, Delaware, Ohio, Candance Thomas, Santee, Ca. and Dustin Thomas, Groveport, Ohio; great-granddaughter, Arie Santee.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, with Rev. Bill Beard officiating.
Burial will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, Cheshire.
