I remember Mr. Geiser well. He would tune my mothers piano and my dad would always have a "special" treat for him with his coffee. My dad (The late) Henry J. Smith and Elmer were really good friends. I have Elmer on Video taking the piano apart and tuning it too. We made a few movies when he would visit with my dad. They would sit around and enjoy telling jokes and laughing during their visits. I know Mr. Geiser will be sadly missed here on earth but I know he is in a much better place now.

I have many wonderful memories of Pastor Elmer from the time of my childhood into early adulthood. He was a wonderful man of God with a great sense of humor. I will never forget the time he and I went out witnessing together. He told me a tall tale about one of the local roads we were on, (I didn't know better at the time), I looked at him very seriously and said "oh really". For many years after that he got a good laugh over it, and would often look at me and say with a grin..."oh really".
He will be greatly missed. He talked about pressing on and running the great race, He has now reached the prize. He is in heaven with his savior. I send my deepest condolences to his family in this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss Pastor Elmer very much.

Dear Family,
I am really sorry to hear about Pastor Elmer, but what a blessing to know he has gone on his last visitation, and what a wonderful place to visit and yet get to stay. That was another one of the many gifts he had was visiting his flock and many others to help with encourage and prayer. I am sure I am not the only one who will remember that knock and their he would be, sometimes with a baked good. But on the coffee and sit at the table and pour out your problems, he listening as only he could, then a work of encourgement and ending with a prayer, out the door he would go and I standing there feeling, funny I don't remember being blue..........closing the door with a smile and the problems weren't gone but know I'd get thru with the support of God and my Pastor. My prayers and thoughts will be with all of you. Love to all of you, Lee

Brother, I missed the first part of Sunday's service last weekend to visit you in the hospital because that was the two year anniversary of the two of us meeting at CCF. You were the first person I met when I walked in for the first time. Your friendship, along with your pastoral wisdom, will live on in my soul for years to come. It was an honor to be called your friend. I have peace in my heart knowing where you have gone, and in my heart, I can't help but envy you just a little! Sunday you quoted Philippians 3:14 to me and now I have one more prize to keep my eyes on...joining my friend in Heaven one day. Love you Brother!

After passing the information about Brother Elmer's death to my father, Bob Colvin, his response was "I know where he is" His legacy is faithful service to our Lord Jesus Christ but as Paul wrote in Thessalonians "weep not as those who have no hope" we have the promise that we will be reunited when our Lord returns.

I will miss grandpa very much. I will miss his wit and the way he always told me to live for the lord no matter when I talked to him. Strangely I will even miss him pinching the crud out of my legs with his toes and tickling me so hard it hurt instead of tickled. On a more serious note I cant help thinking about grandpa in heaven and when he sees God and hears well done my good and faithful servant. It is something he has richly deserved. He is now experiencing the greatest human feeling anybody can feel, the bible says our bodies yearn for something more. Well now he gets what he has always yearned for, the embrace of a loving and beautiful God.
