Clyde Ward, 76, Ewington, Ohio, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Oh., on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. He was born in Kimper, KY., on December 7, 1931, son of the late Earnest and Bertha Varney Ward. He was a retired coal miner who retired from the Southern Ohio Coal Co. following twenty-eight years of service. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Bidwell, and he was also a proud member of UMWA Local 1857.
Clyde is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Angeline Thacker Ward and three children;

He was preceded in death by a sister, Fay Slone and a brother, Reaford Ward.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in the
Wilkesville Church of Christ with Brothers Chester Ward and James Harless officiating. Burial will be in the Vinton Memorial Park. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church
