Helen Maxine Knight Russell, 85, Bidwell, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, March 4, 2008, at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.
She was the daughter of the late Kenna Hugh and Laura Pearl Mitchell Knight and was a graduate of Poca High School.
Surviving are her husband, John Kenneth Russell; son, Johnnie Eugene (Carol) Russell, Bidwell; three brothers and six sisters, Kenneth, Jackson, and David Knight, Noma Cable, Mary Ann Arthur, Glenna Long, Shirley Jo (Clyde) Van Hoose, Becky (Randy) Denney and Tommy Sue (Teddy) Staton.
Funeral Services will be held at noon Saturday, March 8, at Harvestime Church, Main Street, Vinton, Ohio, with Pastor James Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, 208 Main St., Vinton.
Following services on Saturday, the family will receive friends at the Vinton Masonic Lodge.

Dear Uncle John Kenneth and Johnnie,
I was so sad to hear the news about Aunt Maxine. It was a honor to know her. I remember all of the times when we would come up and see you and the fun we had listening to the stories and enjoying all of the food she prepared for us. I am sorry I won't be able to attend the service however you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know God will give you comfort as he always does thru the good and the bad. Again, for my family Randy, Zach, Amanda and myself she will be greatly missed and fondly thought of. May God bless you.

Johnnie & Carol, I am so very sorry for your loss. You've been very fortunate to have her close to you for so long. It doesn't matter how old we are, we still need our parents.
