Irene Ferrell Browning, 86 of Gallipolis, Ohio and formerly of the Vinton Community passed away Sunday April 13, 2008 at Scenic Hills Nursing Home. She was born January 30, 1922 in Boone County, W.Va. Daughter of the late Jess Homer Ferrell and Myrtle Vickers Ferrell. Irene married Woodrow Browning May 13, 1938 at Van, W.Va and he preceded her in death on September 30, 1981.
She is survived by three sons:

Larry (Betty) Browning of Zephyrhills, Fla.
Danny (Sharon) Browning of Vinton, Oh.
Four Daughters:
Jackie (Tom) Crawford of Sissonville, W.Va.
Linda Denney of Bidwell, Oh.
Connie (Jerry) Barnes of Gallipolis, Oh.
Kathy (Rick) Carpenter of Bidwell, Oh.
Son-In-Law, Charles Pierpoint of Woodlawn, Ill.
15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren
Sister-In-Law, Mathel Ferrell of Danville, W.Va.

In addition to her parents and her husband Irene was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Pierpoint, two brothers, Denney Ferrell and Bobby Ferrell, three sisters, Vina Hoover, Charlotte Ferrell and Mary Epling.
Funeral services will be conducted 11;00 a.m. Wednesday April 16, 2008 in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton with Pastor Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 5:00-8:00 p.m.. Irenes grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
