Anna Mae Humphrey, 90, of Bidwell, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.
She was born March 22, 1918, in Welch, W.Va., daughter of the late Abraham Jenkins.
She was a member of the Poplar Ridge Free Will Baptist Church at Bidwell.
Anna is survived by three sons, Edward (Betty) Humphrey of Vinton, and Charles (Mary) Humphrey and Donald (Ida) Humphrey, both of Columbus; two daughters, Jane Hensley of Bidwell, and Violet (Jerry) Hughes of Indiana; 28 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Haney Springton of Salem, W.Va.
In addition to her father, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Evan Humphrey, on May 15, 1971; a daughter, Marie Fairchild; a granddaughter, Heather Humphrey; and a son-in-law, Henry Hensley.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home at Vinton. Burial will follow in the Hollister Cemetery near Glouster, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be John Burge, Donny Fairchild, Rick Fairchild, Russell Almanza, Donny Humphrey and Chad Humphrey.
