Everneather Scott, 76, Bidwell, Ohio and formerly of Florence, Alabama, passed away in Bidwell on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.
He was born August 22, 1931, in Florence, AL., son of the late Robert and Odia Perkins Scott.
He retired from the General Motors Corp., Defiance, Ohio, following thirty two years service in the Maintenance and Repair Dept. Following his retirement, he served as Associate Minister of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, Oh., and the Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Buck Ridge in Gallia County, Oh. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Surviving are three sons and three daughters: William Frederick (Margaret) Scott, Radcliff, KY; Harshel D. (Dorthy) Scott, Florence, AL; Gabriel (Veronica)Scott, Mussell Shoals, AL; Pamula Brown, Detroit, MI; Leneth E. (Al) Harvey, Lima, OH; Karen(James) Brooks, Toledo, OH; Three step-daughters: Jacqulin Neal, columbus, Oh, Eleanor Carter, Huntsville, Alabama and Ella Scott, Florence, Alabama; Ten grandchildren, Five great grandchildren, One brother, Willie (Essie) F. Scott of Florence, Ala. and a sister Millitie Thompson of Atlanta, GA.
Fiancé` Joanne Bass, and her children all of Bidwell, OH. Carol Petty, Greg (Janice) James, Lori (Greg) Lafferty, Raelene Holland; and a special grandson Raysean Allen, Dayton, OH, and several nieces, Nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Ohio Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM., Saturday, August 8, 2008, at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Bidwell, OH. with Rev. Gene Armstrong officiating. Friends may call at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Vinton, on Friday, 6:00 - 9:00 PM.
Alabama Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday August 16, 2008 in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church near Florence, Ala.. Friends may call at the Bethel Church on Saturday,10:00 a.m. until service time.
Alabama arrangements are by the Saints Funeral Home.
