DIANNE L. MARTIN Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1952 - 2003 of Huntington went to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in the Riverview Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Don Walker. Burial will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. She was born Feb. 13, 1952, in Huntington, W.Va., and she was a dietary aide at the Huntington State Hospital. She was a member of the 20th St. Baptist Church. Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Homer Hensley, and her mother and stepfather, Zelma Loretta Chapman Chaney and Chester Chaney. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Andrea Martin of Barboursville; two grandchildren, Erik and Bradly Martin; a brother, Darrell Hensley; three sisters, Carolyn Wendland, Barbara Fortner and Mary Burge; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Lois Merritt. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Reger Funeral Home.

My Darling and Beloved Sister: How I miss you and our long talks on the phone and in person. You are with our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ and now have the new spiritual body we talked so much about. Dianne, I know you are no longer in pain now. I will miss our prayers together and God willing--I will see you in heaven with our Mother (Zelma Chapman Chaney). The Love of our Father is what you have been waiting for my sister. Now you have love and will not have to endure the evil that is in this world of people who have forgotten what we are here for--and that is to worship our Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls. In Christ, your loving sister who will always keep your memory alive--as well as our Mothers. Love, Carol

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in your loss of Dianne. I plan to come to the funeral although it may be an abbreviated visit, due to the many who are out sick at work.
