CHESTER LEE BAYS, 65, of Huntington passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington by the Rev. Nancy Brannon. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. He was born January 4, 1939, in Ashland, Ky., the son of the late John and Alice Jean Caines Bays. He was retired after 20 years of service from the U.S. Navy and was owner of Chet’s Remodeling. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Judy Curtis Bays; two sons, Scott Sword and Robert Bays; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Mark Shaver; two grandsons, Mark and Matt Shaver; two brothers, Gerald Bays of Westwood, Ky., and John Arley Bays of Ashland; and special friends Janet and Bob Overby, Marilyn Frame and Auzalia Dodrill. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home.

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle Chesters' passing. I could not make it in for the service. We were there in thought and prayer. May the Lord give you the strength to help you past this time or sorrow.

Judy, Cowboy and family:
We can't tell you how very sorry we are to hear about Chester's passing but, know that you have our deepest sympathy. He will be missed at the bowling center. We will always remember him with that smile that was so bright and such a joy for all to see.
