I've only now learned (from an alumnus of St. Joe High) about Georgeann's passing. I will offer Mass for the blessed repose of her soul, and I will remember Billy and her sister in my prayers as they carry on without her pleasant personality. I always walked away feeling cheerful after I'd spoken with Georgeann about anything! She was a wonderful and inspiring colleague when I taught at St. Joe. My work after leaving Huntington still echoes her encouragment! Fr. Ken Meehan

Mr. Warfuel,
I am so sorry for your loss.
I was a student at St. Joe High 1982 - 1986. Mrs. Warfeul was great lady and a very kind and giving person- she had a great sense of humor, too.
I will pray for your family, that you find comfort in your time of loss by looking to the Lord for strength.

Dear Billy, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of our dear GeeGee. I just got back from vacation to learn of her death. I know what it is to lose someone close to you. It is important to keep her memory alive. She was such a cheerful person! I know you will miss her very much but can be consoled in knowing that she is not suffering. That's what comforts me when I think about my friend that I lost about a year and a half ago. GeeGee knew her(Sr. Francis) because she use to come with me when I would come to the school to visit in Huntington. Know that you are in my prayers and as difficult as this is for you, know that God will see you through it. I will be enrolling GeeGee in the Elizabeth Ann Seton Guild so all of our Sisters will be praying for her.
Sincere sympathy and prayers of comfort and consolation,
Sr. Mary Lou Palas S.C.

Bill, I had several talks with GeeGee while I served as Assistant Superintendent of Catholic Schools. She allowed me to be a member of her "elite" Assistant's Club! She was so genuine...so funny...so personal. Her love for children was always evident. THIS was her greatest gift to me and our schools! THANK YOU for sharing her with us!
May the peace of our Lord be with you!

Billy,
Please accept our love and prayers during this time of sorrow. We dearly loved GiGi and you both and count ourselves very fortunate to have been together with you both at St. Agnes. I can still see GiGi's smile. God Bless.

Dear Joanie,
I was so sorry to read about GeorgeAnn. I hope you remember me. We lived at 332 9th avenue and our parents were killed in the Marshall Plane Crash. I live in Michigan, actually all of us do. I know how close you were to your sister. How is her husband. They have been together for so long. I will keep you in my prayers. I am coming into Huntington on Friday. I was also sorry to hear you had lost your dad. How is your mom? This is not the time to reconnect old friendships but I was shocked to read this. Again, I am so sorry. Robin Arnold Paul

I graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1983. Mrs. Warfuel was always my favorite member of the faculty. She never turned anyone away. Her laughter and smile was genuine. She was truly a wonderful lady and I will never forget her. My heartfelt condolences to her husband, family and many friends.

My dear sweet Georgeann, Thank you for taking me as your husband. I know we were going to grow old together and take care of each other in our old age but God had other plans for you. I miss you and I will love you forever. To everyone who prayed for your recovery I wish to say Thank You. I will never forget your steadfast support for Georgeann during her illness. Thank you Georgeann for sharing your life with me...your life became my life and now I morn your passing. Today, there is a new Saint in Heaven and I had the good fortune to spend my life with Her. Goodnight my love, I'll see you again when the time is right.

I was saddened to learn of Mrs. Warfuel's death. She was my daughter's principal at St. Joseph Elementary School and always exemplified the best of the teaching profession in her care and concern for the children. For her, education was truly a profession and not just a job. I will always appreciate her interest in my daughter's welfare. She'll be greatly missed.
