Constance Sue Hamsher, 72, of Statesboro, GA, formerly of Huntington, WV passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 in Statesboro, GA.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church by Monsignor Lawrence Luciana. Rite of Committal will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.

Constance was born on September 21, 1936 in Huntington, WV the daughter of the late Harry M. and Lois Tyler Travis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Virgil Ray Hamsher.

Constance was the former owner and president of Sponge Products Corporation in Ona ,WV. Former director of the Womens Small Business Development for the state of West Virginia, a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Statesboro, GA and a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Huntington, WV.,a member of the Marshall University Booster Club, Regency Club and the Womens Club.

She is survived by her companion: Richard Freeman

Three sons and daughters in law: Thomas Hamsher: Huntington, WV, Charles and Connie Hamsher: Charleston, WV., and Andrew and Barbara Hamsher of Roswell. GA.

One daughter and son in law: Mary Sue and timothy McGaha of Brooklet, Ga.

Six grandchildren: Joseph and Emily Hamsher, Andrew, Benjamin, Jonathan and Sarabeth McGaha

I am so sorry that I didn't attend the service but found out about it too late. Your mom was the kindest and most generous person I have known. We had a lot of fun when we lived on Monroe street. She loved all of you and will be sadly missed! Your in my prayers.
