1924 - 2009

Genevieve Genevieve Jenny B. Keenan, 85, our loving mother quietly left her earthly home December 6, 2009 with anticipation in her heart for the glorious reunion in Heaven with the love of her life and husband of 39 years Orville Beanie Keenan and many family members who have gone on before her.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Paul Farley. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens.

Jenny was born on November 23, 1924 in Logan County, WV the daughter of the late Millard and Pearl McCloud Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers; Paul, Ronald and Thomas Brown.

She is survived by her three children whose lives will be forever changed by her absence. Her eldest daughter Elaine and husband Steve Stolte and granddaughter Jennifer Dorsey. Her son Brad Keenan and his wife Celestine and her granddaughters Stacy and her husband Andy Swain and great grandson Jacob Swain, and granddaughter Misty and her husband Donnie Dunfee and her two great grand children, Morgan Hutchinson and Lexus Dunfee. Her youngest daughter Carla and her husband Larry McCoy and her grandson Bradley McCoy.

She is also survived by her three sisters, Marilyn Barker, Rene Counts and Doris Brown all originally from Chapmanville, WV. She is also survived by a special brother in law; John Keenan whom she loved like a son and his wife Peggy and a special friend Linda Mahaffey whom she was especially close to. She also had several nieces and nephews who each held a special place in her heart.

She retired from Owens Illinois Glass factory where she developed several lifelong friendships. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her and all the lives she touched.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for their kind and excellent care she received there and also thanks to the Cardiac Stepdown Unit at St. Marys Medical Center where she also received excellent care.

Brad and family, I am very sorry about your loss. I haven't forgotten your high school days, and I am always saddened to hear about the passing of one of my former students or family member.

Hi Carla, I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am about your mom. I know you guys were very close and a relationship most girls envy - myself included. Please hold close to your heart the fact you all had such a loving and special mother-daughter life together and smile when thinking of her during these days coming ahead. . . Love to you and Larry and your son

Carla and Family, I wish I could be there with you all at this time. It will be hard for all of you but just think, "Chick & Beanie" are together again!!! And "Beanie" would stamp that "OK"!!!!! I love you all.
