 Elsie J. Mattingly, 84, of Huntington, WV., wife of H. William Mattingly, passed away Thursday April 22, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Elsie was born October 14, 1925, Detroit, Mich., a daughter of the late Michael J. and Mary Ann Stokus. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Ann Mattingly in 1988. She is survived by a sister, Norma Emmeot of Coral Gables, Florida, two sons and a daughter in law, Bill Mattingly of Huntington; and Mike and Yelena Mattingly of Minneapolis, Minn.; three daughters and sons in law, Mary Ann Schwartz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Marsha Mattingly and Jonathan Ater of Huntington; Barty and Greg Ferguson of Huntington; nine grandchildren, Cortney Blessings of Cincinnati, OH., Evershed and Elizabeth Mattingly of Minneapolis, MN., Abigail McKinney and Michael Isadore Schwartz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Billy Amrhein of Huntington, Ben, Brad and Brian Ferguson of Huntington and three great grandchildren, Mira and Riley McKinney and Kyler Turner-Ferguson. Elsie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to her caregiver, Tammy Gross and to the staff of the Hospice House for their wonderful care of Elsie. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington.
