Dear Hale family, I had Dr. Hale when I was a grad. student at M.U. in the early 70's, and I remember him as a really fine teacher and gentleman. I just finished my 40th year as a teacher, and professors like Dr. Hale were a big part of my life. God bless you; my prayers are with you...

Jeff, Tammy, Madison, and Mason and the entire Hale Family, The McCarty Family (Drema/Sarah) is very sad to hear about the passing of your father, and we send our condolences and prayers that you may assist one another in getting through this difficult time.
I do not often read obituaries but I did read your father's, and noted that he lived a good life as a military veteran, educator, and I am sure a good father. Quite impressive from my pespective, and may you gain comfort in his lifes accomplishments.

Betty, Greg, Jeff and the rest of the Hale family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. I think of you all often and I have never forgotten the acceptance and caring your family showed to me in my younger years. I know that Roscoe a fine man and his love for his family was evident in all that he did. He will be remembered and missed. I only hope my journey through the rest of this life is as honorable and true as his. In the Navy we used a term to describe those with dry humor and intelligent wit as "smackmasters". Those wonderful people with the ability to see humor in most any situation. That is how I will remember him - smiling!

Betty and Family, sorry about the loss of Roscoe, he fought such a hard battle and his pain is over.
We will miss him so much, he was such a genuine man always with a smile and words of wisdom, I enjoyed playing volleyball with both of you.
