1926 - 2010
 Homer Swiney, 84, of Huntington, W. Va., went home to be with his Lord on Monday, December 6, 2010, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will be in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, and W. Va. He was born October 20, 1926 in Earling, W. Va. a son of the late Everett and Roxie Swiney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and a grandson. He was a Baptist by faith. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary (Keck) Sweney, three sons and their wives, Larry and Marcia, Danny and Amy, Rickie and Jean all of Niagara Falls, N.Y., a daughter Gloria Campman of Nevada; 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, two sisters Stella Brunty of Branchland, W. Va. and Betty Swiney of Florida. Friends may call from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. I am so sorry about the loss of my uncle Homer...my heart goes out to the entire family. It is never easy to loose a loved one especially a family member, I know that cause I have lost both my parents...May GOD be with you all and comfort each and everyone of you....wish I could make it up to the funeral BUT I don't have any time off left....we love you all so much and hope to see ya soon.
