
G. Thomas Jenkins, 72, of DeGraff, died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in his daughter's residence.
Born on July 22, 1930,in Portsmouth, he was a son of the late Russell Henry and Jean Alice McArty Jenkins.
He married Rose Lellett on May 11, 1950, in Guam, and she died Jan. 8, 1993.
A U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam, he was a retired medical lab technician/bio-medical engineer. He held an associate membership with South Union Mennonite Church and Covenant Fellowship Church.
Survivors include five sons, Russell Henry (Deb) Jenkins and Stuart Keith (Tamara) Jenkins, both of Bellefontaine, T.J. (Faith) Jenkins of Wakarusa, Ind., and William Michael Jenkins and Timothy Lee (Louise) Jenkins, both of the Marshall Islands; five daughters, Cecilie Kabua of West Liberty, Joyce Ann (Kerry) Bridges of Indianapolis, Linda Kay (Ken) Harford of DeGraff, Cynthia Jean (Keith) Gildow of Bellefontaine and Vicki Lynn Jenkins of Columbus; a brother Jerry (Betty) Jenkins of Springfield; a sister, Judith Jenkins of Waverly; 30 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Jenkins; a brother, Ralph Jenkins and a sister, Helen Purdy
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, where funeral services begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The Rev. Keith Matthews will officiate.
