Stanley Lowell Stanley "Sonny" Lowell Hudson Jr., 56, of 1700 N. County Road 24, DeGraff, died Saturday, May 31, 2003, as a result of an auto accident on U.S. Route 68 north of West Liberty.

Born in Logan County on Jan. 4, 1947, he was a son of the late Stanley L. Hudson Sr. and Pearl Stinson Hudson, who survives in Bellefontaine.

On April 26, 1997, he married Julie Godwin in New Richland, and she survives.

A 1965 graduate of Indian Lake High School, he was a self-employed general contractor and member and trustee of the DeGraff Freewill Baptist Church.

survivors also include on son, Bradley Hudson of Quincy; three daughters, Dawn (Doug) Yoder and Kristi (Gary) Thomas, both of Bellefontaine, and Lindsey Hudson of DeGraff; one stepson, Dan Defibaugh of DeGraff and one stepdaughter, Katie Defibaugh of DeGraff; one brother, Fred (Vicki) Hudson of DeGraff; two sister, Deann Smith of DeGraff and Jeanne (Mike) Hall of Bellefontaine; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one nephew and one great-nephew.

The family will receive friends at the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral service is at 2 p.m. Thursday at the DeGraff Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. James R. Roby and Gary Brown officiating. Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff.

Memorial contirbutions may be made to the DeGraff Freewill Baptist Church.
