Elsie Loretta Gold, 76, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Sidney Care Center.
Born Sept. 24, 1926, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Viola Piper.
Survivors include one duaghter, Ellen Calland of DeGraff, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, three brothers and two sister-in-law, Ralph and Jewel Piper of Sidney, Clifford Piper of Quincy and Larry and Sylvia Piper of Ankeny, Iowa, and two sister and one brother-in-law, Phyllis Smith of Sidney and Linda and Roger Sidle of Sidney.
She was a member of Quincy United Methodist Church.
She was a machine operator at Copeland Corporation until her retirement.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff with Pastor N. Matthew Wright of the Quincy United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Quincy United Methodist Church.
