Icle L. Keating, 101, of Lakeview, died Saturday, Oct. 4,2003, in The Inn at Chestnut Hill in Columbus.

She was born in Lakeview on July 20, 1902, a daughter of the late Willard and Mary Elizabeth Pugh Reed.

On April 11, 1921, she married Wilbur M. Keating and he preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1964. Also preceding her in death were a son, John W. Keating; brothers, Wilford and Glenn Reed; and a sister, Ople Shoffner.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary L. Hanger of Seminole Island, Indian Lake; grandchildren, James W. Hanger, Cynthia L. Apple, John Joseph Keating and Patrick Keating; a brother, Kenneth A. (Florence) Reed of Westminster; sisters, Cleoa Jenkins of Lakeview and Helen V. Norviel of Lewistown; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She retired from Lima State Hospital after 21 years of service as a nurse and was a charter member of Bellefontaine Chapter 459 Order of Eastern Star.

Rob Kilgore conducts funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff. Interment is in Walnut Hill Cemetery in New Hampshire. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association.
