Robert C. Snapp, 72, of West Liberty, died at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2003, in Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was born May 11, 1931, in Big Springs, a son of the late Clarence Snapp and Leona Johnson Thomas and stepfather Clarence Thomas.
He graduated from DeGraff High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He married Evea Mae Schindewolf on Nov. 17, 1954, in DeGraff, and she preceded him in death Aug. 29, 1992.
He worked as a machinist for Kelsey Hayes in Springfield. He also owned and operated Snapp's Auto Wrecking in Bloom Center.
Surviving are two sons, Phillip (Brenda) Snapp of Lakeview and Paul (Allison) Snapp of DeGraff; a daughter, Susan Steggeman of Bellefontaine; two brothers, Dick Snapp of Bellefontaine and Bill (Catherine) Snapp of California; a stepbrother Bobby (Viola) Thomas of California; sister Jean (Ray) Headings of Russells Point; two stepsisters, Vivian Orsborne and Catherine Douglas, both of DeGraff; six grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ann Snapp of Urbana.
A stepbrother, Max Thomas, preceded him in death.
Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff. Services are at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home and burial is in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty.
