Gladys L. Hudson, 85, of South Main St., DeGraff died at 6:33 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004 in the home of her nephew and niece, Gary and Brenda Comer of DeGraff.

Born in Logan County March 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Wanda Hatcher Comer. She graduated from DeGraff High School in 1937.

On October 27, 1940, she married Melvin Hudson in DeGraff and they farmed for years on St. Rt. 47 west of Bellefontaine. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1968. A homemaker, she also was employed by Merchant Industries in Bellefontaine for 12 years.

Her loving friend and companion of 21 years, Donald Matthews, preceded her in death on March 24, 2002. Also deceased are three brothers, Ernest, LeRoy and Jesse Comer; and one sister, Nellie Comer.

Survivors include a brother; Jack L. Comer of DeGraff and 10 nephews and nieces.

At her request, her body was cremated. A graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Kieth Matthews at Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2004.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Tricare Hospice of Logan County.

All of us at KFC will miss Gladys deeply. She was one of our favorites and i personally will miss the conversations we had. She was always happy and always smiling , i will remember her that way. our deepest sympathy. Darren & Johni Whitaker and the crew at KFC
